August 9, 2004 -- Expedia, Thomas Cook, and all of the other UK travel agencies have spent millions advertising there websites on TV to try and bring in more holidaymakers. Can the holiday rental industry compete with that - the answer is no, there are no companies in this industry that have the financial backing to advertise to this level.
